A hollow copper cylinder and a small neodymium sphere - that's all you need to play a fascinating trick on gravity and turn magnetodynamics into a meditative practice. With Feel Flux, you can literally "take it easy". Simply let the ball glide through the cylinder and feel how time seems to slow down just for you, while chaos rages around you.

Lenz's rule
Thanks to the neodymium, the shiny sphere is not just any sphere, but an exceptionally strong magnet. If you drop this magnet into the copper cylinder, this causes a change in the magnetic field inside it. According to Faraday induction, this creates a voltage, also known as electromotive force. The eddy currents it induces generate another magnetic field. This is where Lenz's rule comes into effect. It states that the magnetic field generated by the induced currents is always directed towards the cause of their creation - i.e. the falling sphere. The ball therefore floats very slowly through the copper cylinder.
