Contrary to our stereotype, we nerds don't just gamble 24/7 (even if we would like to!)… although it is true we can get absolutely absorbed in our own world. And sure, we can forget to feed the cat or water the plants. While the kitty will remind us loudly of its needs, the poor plants suffer silently until they eventually become nothing more than a heap of compost. How practical it would be if they could just manage on their own!

Well, this Lab Glass Terrarium Plant Set makes it possible. You can use it to create your own glass garden. The plants live in their own ecosystem and even recycle their water, so you hardly have to water them. Suitable for the chemistry enthusiasts among us nerds, this bottle garden is shaped like an Erlenmeyer flask.

With the help of the instructions on the packaging, you simply fill it with the coconut fibres, sand, activated carbon and pebbles (in the correct order). You can then decide for yourself which plants to put in. The important thing is not to put too many plants (2–3 are sufficient) and that their needs in terms of light and water are well matched. Depending on the type of plant, you will only need to spray water on it very rarely.

This bottle garden is perfect as a gift and can even be decorated in many ways, like with shells, stones or Lego figures ;).
