Whether it's metal, wood or plastic: Complex building kits are fun, activate your brain and are perfect for empty afternoons or weekends. But when the kit is finally built, it can't really do anything besides looking good. For those who want more from their building kits and who want to test out the results of their tinkering efforts, we have something special: this Vitascope Wood Construction Kit
This challenging kit doesn't just test your building skills and your understanding of mechanics, but it also rewards you with a functioning oldschool film projector! Besides the many wooden parts, which come in the shape of laser-cut plywood plates, the building kit contains various tools as well as a few small metal and plastic parts to perfect the mechanics and facilitate the assembly. And at the end, you can use the enclosed film strip to find out whether you did everything right. Unfortunately, you have to power the projector manually via its crank and can't just lay back, but as a cool and entertaining gadget (to impress guests, for example), this almost completely wooden film projector is just perfect.
Caution: Because of the building kit's difficulty, it's only recommended for advanced builders age 14 or older.
